ATTICA. Athens. Circa 165-42 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 34 mm, 16.68 g, 1 h), circa 165-150/49. Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos. Rev. A-ΘE Owl standing facing on Amphora; to right, monogram above pileoi of the Dioskouroi; monogram; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 63. Traces of overstriking on the obverse and with light pitting on the reverse, otherwise, very fine.
